Naalbinding

Look at this new dvd I was given. "Knit the same way the Vikings did 1000 years ago". It comes with the needle, instructions and patterns. Has anyone done this before? I am looking forward to giving this a try!!

Sit and Knit

Yesterday was our first annual Sit and Knit at the Western Fair!

I am really happy with how the afternoon went. We knit purple baby hats for charity, had a sock knitting demonstration, gave away some lovely hand dyed sock yarn and just had a great time knitting and chatting with other knitters!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the afternoon and to those of you who me put this all together!

I already have some new ideas for next year!

Finished

Holidays are finished for another summer and my new shrug is also finished. Pretty good timing considering how cool it was here today.

The shrug is knit out of Patons Classic Wool. It was a quick, simple knit and it fits nice. This is the second one I have knit. I made this one a bit larger than the first one. I will knit this again. Maybe out of hemp next time.

Holiday Knitting Days 2 and 3

A quick swatch, an attempt at jewellery making and endless miles of garter stÍtch knitting is what I have been working on for the last couple of days. One ball of Classic Wool has knit 16" and I need 39". Looks like I have a few more days worth of knitting ahead of me. It is a good thing I like garter st!
